(September 19, 2014) – TRG-AMR scored its third consecutive IMSA GTD Pole Position at Circuit of the Americas today, with team driver James Davison setting down a blistering lap time of 2:08.502 at the scenic Texas track in the No. 007 JetSet Magazine / CarryOn.com / BePositive.org / PassTime USA Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3. This is the third consecutive pole for TRG-AMR and Davison, having also secured P1 at Road America and VIR earlier this season. The hand-built V12 Vantage GT3 was developed on high-speed tracks throughout Europe that reward the cars with the best aerodynamics, so it’s no surprise that the GT3 reacts to COTA as it would Spa Francorchamps or the Nordschleife.
Davison’s lap today exemplifies the capability of the GT3 when placed in the hands of a talented driver and backed up by a meticulous and thorough team. As IMSA moves towards adopting FIA GT3 regulations in 2016, the V12 Vantage GT3 will continue through the constant research and development cycle, furthering the success of a car that is already one of the winningest GT3 platforms ever developed.

Then, following the incident at Road America and having to get a fresh tub flown in from England, the guys were really up against a wall to get the car built in time – but they put that thing together like it was straight from the factory – and James went out and set pole again. That was just incredibly amazing and rewarding. It really shows people two things – what the V12 Vantage GT3 is capable of, and also just how capable TRG-AMR is. Today’s pole is further icing on the cake and proof that the car is really as good as it has proven to be on the international stage.
